Our College aims at offering all our students a broad and balanced curriculum that provides rewarding and stimulating activities to prepare them for the best social and cultural life.
In our college we make them train in , MEC (Maths, Economics, Commerce) and CEC
(Civics, Economics, Commerce) streams are two-year intermediate programs that build a
foundation for careers in commerce, economics, law, management, and finance. MEC
emphasizes mathematics and analytical skills, while CEC focuses on civics, governance, and
social sciences.
MEC Curriculum (Maths, Economics, Commerce)
Core Subjects:
o Mathematics – Algebra, calculus, statistics, probability, and quantitative
techniques.
o Economics – Microeconomics, macroeconomics, demand-supply analysis,
national income, and development economics.
o Commerce – Business studies, accountancy, principles of management, and
financial systems.

Our History
| Pragati Mahavidyalaya began as a junior college with 43 students in 1970 and later established a degree college in 1973, managed by Shri Gujarati Pragati Samaj. Key developments include the introduction of commerce courses in 1973 and science courses in 1981–82, and moved to its current premises in 1974. The college has since grown significantly, offering a variety of undergraduate and postgraduate courses. The college is managed by the Sri Gujarati Pragati Samaj, which was founded in 1943. |
